Alexander Judd, a member of the Environmental + Utilities Group, represents clients in the areas of energy, utilities, and telecommunications law.
Mr. Judd counsels energy clients on regulatory compliance and transactional matters. He represents a range of clients, including electricity suppliers, solar companies, developers, and municipalities. He appears frequently before the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA). He also monitors and reports on regulatory developments in the energy and utilities field throughout New England.
Mr. Judd assists clients who are seeking to install telecommunications towers and any wireless facilities in Connecticut. He files applications with the Connecticut PURA, the Connecticut Siting Council, state administrative agencies and local land use boards in connection with facility siting matters.
Mr. Judd assists Doctors Without Borders, an international medical relief organization, with tax and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Robinson+Cole, Mr. Judd served as the legislative attorney to the Energy and Technology Committee of the Connecticut General Assembly during the 2013 and 2014 legislative sessions. In addition, Mr. Judd interned for Robinson+Cole, Northeast Utilities, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Energy and Technology Policy, the Connecticut Office of Consumer Counsel, and JetBlue Airways. While attending law school, Mr. Judd served as research assistant for the Center for Energy and Environmental Law at the University of Connecticut School of Law. He was also the recipient of the CALI Award for Excellence for Renewable Energy and Green Building, International Environmental Law, Land Use, and Historic Preservation Law and Public Policy.
