Insurance Coverage Litigation and Counseling
Elise represents domestic and international insurers in a broad range of insurance coverage disputes arising under commercial general liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, and excess and umbrella liability insurance policies. She has extensive experience counseling clients on litigation strategy and contract interpretation as well as representing insurers on coverage and claims handling issues in both litigated and non-litigated matters, including coverage disputes involving environmental, toxic tort, construction defect, property damage, products liability and professional liability. She also represents and advises liability and excess insurance carriers in connection with complex and high-exposure long-tail claims, including asbestos and pollution claims.
Elise began her career as a law clerk to the Honorable Clarkson S. Fisher, Jr., P.J.A.D., of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. While attending law school, Elise served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Jaynee LaVecchia, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. She also served as an Articles Editor for the Rutgers Law Review.
