Michelle Labbe is a member of the firm’s Real Estate + Development Group, where she focuses her practice on commercial financing and real estate matters.
Commercial Real Estate Finance
Michelle represents institutional lenders and developers in connection with commercial real estate transactions and financing, including construction lending, commercial acquisitions, loan participations and leasing. Shee regularly assists clients with large, complex transactions. She typically handles 50 transactions on an annual basis, involving deals ranging in size between $1 million and $40 million.
Michelle has represented clients providing loans secured by commercial real estate throughout the United States. She handles term loans to refinance existing debt and routinely assists clients with construction loans for real estate developments, office buildings, apartment complexes, and retail projects.
Before joining Robinson+Cole, Michelle was an associate at a historically prominent Massachusetts firm, where she focused on commercial and residential real estate matters, including drafting financing documents, drafting and negotiating commercial and residential purchase and sale agreements and commercial leases, reviewing title reports, and resolving title issues.
While at Suffolk University Law School, Michelle worked as a law clerk, performing legal research and drafting and analyzing legal documents and memoranda. She is a notary public for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
