Stephanie Williams focuses her practice defending insurers in insurance coverage disputes, including Residential and Commercial Property claims. She is a member of the firm’s Insurance + Reinsurance Group.

Stephanie represents insurance companies in a broad range of insurance coverage disputes. She provides advice to clients regarding coverage obligations and represents them through all phases of litigation. She has extensive experience in successfully handling first-party property damage disputes. Stephanie has obtained an array of favorable outcomes for her clients, including winning dispositive motions and reaching favorable settlements.
Prior to joining Robinson + Cole, Stephanie concentrated her practice on defending major insurance carriers and their insureds in first party and third party disputes arising under general liability, property, auto, malpractice, excess and umbrella insurance policies.
While at Michigan State University, Stephanie clerked for the university’s First Amendment Clinic, which seeks to educate student journalists about their legal rights and advise them of copyright and trademark laws. In addition, Stephanie clerked for the university’s Housing Law Clinic, which provides legal defense to indigent residents who need representation in landlord-tenant disputes.
Stephanie is committed to doing pro bono work. Her efforts include representing an indigent client in connection with a breach of contract action for defaulting on a credit card debt.
