Teddy Wan concentrates his practice on commercial real estate development, finance, affordable housing, and general real estate matters. He is a member of the firm's Real Estate + Development Group.
Real Estate – Financing and Transactions
Teddy assists clients with the various stages involved in real estate transactions and financing, including due diligence and drafting mortgage and loan documents. He helps negotiate, document, and close acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. He has experience in assisting clients with finance matters related to development, including handling complex, multi-million dollar loans.
Affordable Housing Financing
Teddy represents lenders, drafts loan documents, and conducts due diligence in connection with financing transactions for affordable housing projects. He recently helped advise a lender on Massachusetts affordable housing statutes as it applies to foreclosures.
Teddy is involved in pro bono work. He currently assists a non-profit that brings together real estate professionals and citizens dedicated to making their communities walkable, equitable, and sustainable. He is also currently working on helping individuals and families obtain asylum in the United States.
Before attending law school, Teddy taught 3rd grade and coached middle school basketball at a private school in New Canaan, CT.
