Event Description

Data Privacy + Cybersecurity Team chair Linn Freedman will present two sessions as part of her keynote address during the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and New England Healthcare Internal Auditors (NEHIA) MA-RI Chapter 2021 In-Person
Compliance & Internal Audit Conference on December 1. The first session will address “Cyberattacks, ransomware and the current state of cyber risks,” while the second will focus on "What to do if your vendor has a security incident.”

In addition, on December 3, Nathaniel Arden and Conor Duffy will co-present the program "Telehealth Compliance Amidst COVID-19," which will analyze the regulatory challenges posed by the various regulatory changes made at the federal and state levels to encourage telehealth, how providers responded, and the corresponding compliance challenges faced by providers as these waivers end or are phased out.

The three-day educational conference will bring expert presenters from health care compliance, privacy, security, and internal auditing.
