Biography
Adam J. Petitt is a trial lawyer with extensive experience in managed care and particular knowledge in Medicaid and Medicare Advantage programs. He focuses his practice on representing national and regional health insurers, HMOs, and other managed care organizations (MCOs), third-party administrators, and self-insured plans on a wide array of matters involving ERISA, insurance fraud, False Claims Act and other federal and state fraud and abuse laws, high-stakes reimbursement and network agreement disputes, and provider contracting. With an appreciation for the highly-regulated industries his clients operate in, Adam’s practical, business-oriented approach to resolving disputes and conflicts is aimed at achieving maximum value and efficiency for the client.
Before joining Robinson+Cole, Adam was the leader of the managed care litigation practice group at a major Philadelphia law firm.
Prior to entering private practice, Adam served as the Assistant District Attorney of the General Crimes Trial Bureau for Bronx County. Here, he maintained a diverse caseload of more than 70 indictments consisting of attempted murders, gun cases, multi-defendant robberies, pattern burglaries, and assaults. In this role, Adam was a member of the Hate Crimes/Bias Task Force.
